Wix Forms: Managing Your Form Fields

In new Wix Forms, the dropdown menu uses the form field’s background color with 100% opacity. If you want a transparent field but a solid dropdown (e.g., black), set the field background to black and lower its opacity. The dropdown will stay fully opaque.

Note: It’s not currently possible to set a different color or opacity specifically for the dropdown menu.

Yes. When deleting a field from a form with existing submissions, it moves to the Deleted Fields section. 

Under the More Actions icon , you can restore the field to make it active again or delete it permanently. Keep in mind that permanently deleting a field also removes all submissions associated with it.

Yes, you can choose which countries the phone field accepts numbers from. The field supports both local and international phone numbers.

Absolutely. Multi-step forms help break down the information or questions in your form into easy-to-manage steps for site visitors to complete.

Yes, by creating form rules you can use conditional logic to show or hide fields based on a user’s selections. For example, if someone selects "Yes" to a question, you can display additional fields for further information. 

Yes. In new Wix Forms, right-click the relevant field and select  Move to next page.

If your form already has multiple pages, the field moves to the following page. If your form has only one page, this creates a new page and moves the field there.

Custom contact fields that you create in Contacts appear automatically in the Contact fields section of the new Wix Forms builder. When someone submits the form, data collected through those fields is automatically saved to your Contact List. For example, if you add a custom field for 'Date of birth' in Contacts, it becomes available in your form so you can collect and save that information automatically.
