Wix Multilingual: Translating Your Store
7 min read
Open the door to international sales by offering your store in multiple languages. Translate everything from products and delivery options to store pages and elements, with Wix Multilingual.
Before you begin:
- Add and set up Wix Multilingual
- Add Wix Stores to your site and set it up (e.g. add products, set up shipping and tax rules). After you translate your site, you can still add new products and make changes.
Step 1 | Translate Store Products, Categories, Policies etc.
Start translating your store products, product options, ribbons, and more. If you added more than one secondary language, make sure to select the language first.
To translate store features:
- Click the Switch Languages panel at the top of your Editor.
- Click Manage Languages.
- Click the drop-down next to Translate your apps' content and select the language you want to work on.

- Click the Wix Stores drop-down menu.
- Click Translate next to Products.
- (If necessary) Click the Filter by: drop-down and select a translation status, or enter a product in the search bar.
- Click Translate next to the product.

- Enter a translation for each piece of text, or click the Google Translate icon
to translate automatically. Once you have reviewed the translation, click the checkmark to save your changes. Tip: If there are sections you do not display on your live site (e.g. the info sections), you do not need to translate them.
- Click Next to move to the next product.
- Finish translating each of your products.
- Click Multilingual at the top of the page to access other parts of your store.
- Follow the same procedure to translate the rest of your store (e.g. Product Options, Product Ribbons, etc.).

Notes:
- Text that appears inside tables in an info section cannot be translated. The rest of the info section text is translatable. If this is something you'd like to see in the future, vote for that feature.
- The Checkout & Policies section appears only if you edited the default text, including confirmation email text.
Step 2 | Translate store pages in your Editor
Head over to your Editor and translate your Product Page, Cart Page, and Thank You page. Some text may already be automatically translated, but you can change it if necessary. Learn how to access Store pages
To translate store pages:
- Click the Switch Languages panel at the top of your Editor.
- Click Edit Translation next to the relevant language.
- Go to any of the store pages, for example, the Cart Page in your Editor.
- Click the Cart Page element (or the relevant store page element).
- Click Settings.
- Click the Text tab.
- Update the text in the panel.
- Repeat steps 1 to 7 for each of your store pages.

Note:
Default Store Text: Store text that cannot be edited (e.g. the "previous" and "next" links), is automatically translated into the relevant languages supported by Wix Stores.
Step 3 | Translate store elements in your Editor
You can translate any of the store elements listed below. Some elements are optional additions you may not have added to your store. Remember that some text may already be translated (see store pages section above).
To translate store elements:
- Click the Switch Languages panel at the top of your Editor.
- Click Edit Translation next to the relevant language.
- Translate the following elements. Click an option to learn how:
Cart icon
Mini cart
Product gallery
Product widget
Add To Cart button
Step 4 | Publish and test your store
Once you've finished translating your store, make sure to make the language visible to visitors. Then publish your site as usual.
We recommend previewing the checkout process in each language, before you launch your multilingual store. This lets you view what customers will see when they make a purchase.
