Wix Inbox: Managing Your Notification Settings

Choose how you want to be notified about Wix Inbox and Wix Chat activity. You can enable or disable email, desktop, and mobile notifications for yourself and manage certain settings for all site collaborators.

Managing team-wide notifications

There are certain notification settings that you can manage for all site collaborators in your site’s dashboard. These settings control whether everyone receives notifications for email notifications and Wix Chat notifications.
Note:
Your preset email is a generic, temporary email address provided by Wix so you can start responding to customer inquiries immediately. Once you connect your own email, your preset email is disabled.

To manage notifications:

  1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.
  3. Select Communication Channels.
  4. Choose the relevant channel:
Note:
When you click Edit on a notification, you are directed to the notification's automation settings. This allows you to customize your notification further, such as how and when the notification is sent. Learn more about automations.

Setting your personal notifications

Each site collaborator can set their own notification settings from the Notification Preferences page in the dashboard. Select which notifications you want to receive for Wix Inbox.

To set your personal Inbox notifications:

  1. Go to Notification Preferences in your dashboard.
  2. Choose which notifications you want to receive:

Managing mobile app notifications

Using the Wix app, you can get a notification to your mobile device for every new inbox or chat message, allowing you to respond on the go. By default, app notifications are enabled but you can temporarily or permanently disable the ones you don't need.

To manage your mobile app notifications:

  1. Go to your site in the Wix app.
  2. Tap Inbox  at the bottom.
  3. Tap the More Actions icon  at the top right.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Notification settings.
  6. Tap the toggle for Allow Push Notifications enable or disable them.
  7. (For disabling notifications) Select for how long you want to disable notifications for: 8 hours, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or permanently.
  8. Scroll down to Inbox and tap the toggle next to each notification type to enable or disable it.
