Unable to View Your Live Site

Below are some of the common error messages you might see when there is a problem loading your site. Select the error message you're receiving for more information:

Make sure that the site your domain is connected to is indeed published. You can check this on your site's dashboard. If your site is not published, open your editor and click Publish.

Wix domains are set to renew automatically, however, if you've canceled your domain's renewal or if there were payment problems your domain may have expired.

You can check the status of your domain on your Domains page. If your domain has expired, click here to learn how to repurchase.

Note: If you purchased your domain outside of Wix, contact your domain host to make sure your domain hasn't expired. 

In order for your site to remain connected to your personal domain, it needs to have a suitable plan assigned to it. Premium and Studio Plans are set to renew automatically, however, if you canceled your plan's renewal or there were payment problems it may have expired.

You can check the status of your plan under Premium Subscriptions. If your plan has expired, simply upgrade your site again. 

You may have accidentally disconnected your domain from your site. You can check to see if your domain is connected to your site on the Domains page. If the domain is not connected, select the domain and click Assign next to Assigned to site.

When you connect your domain it can take up to 48 hours for your domain to propagate and your site to appear live. If after 48 hours you're still unable to view your live site on your domain, use the Wix Domain Assistant to check your domain connection.

Make sure that you're using the latest version of a supported browser. You can check which browser version you're using here.

Some public institutions such as schools, universities, public libraries or government facilities, restrict access to certain URLs, including the Wix servers.

If you are unable to access your site from one of these institutes, we recommend that you contact the relevant IT department at your location (if possible) to see if they can whitelist Wix. Learn More
