Follow the steps below to create your first project with Wixel.
Step 1 | Create your project
Start your first project with a ready-made template or start with a blank design. Templates save you time and provide a polished starting point, while starting from blank gives you complete creative freedom.
To create your first project:
- Go to Wixel.
- Log in to your Wixel account or sign up.
- Choose how to begin:
- Start from blank: Click + Create New Project at the top right.
- Choose a template: Click See All Templates, browse by category (e.g., invitations, social media, greeting cards, resumes), and select a template.
Your new project opens in Wixel, ready for you to begin designing.
Step 2 | Design your project
Begin designing your project using Wixel’s AI-powered capabilities and design tools. Generate custom visuals with AI to bring an idea to life, or transform a photo into an avatar or professional portrait. You can also work on existing images by changing the background, editing objects, or expanding your canvas to add more details.
Fine-tune every detail of your project with Wixel's photo editing tools. Personalize your project further by adding text, shapes, stickers, and other decorative elements. Be sure to experiment with layouts, colors, and styles to craft a unique design.
Tips to perfect your project:
- The frame size adjusts based on the image. Click Choose Preset Size above your frame to change the design dimensions to popular sizes.
- Use the search bar at the top of the Add Elements panel to locate specific items. For example, searching "butterfly" brings up a variety of related images, stickers, and icons, making it easy to find the perfect element for your design.
- Use the resizing handles and customization tools to adjust the element’s size, color, position, and more.
Step 3 | Download and share your project
Save your completed design and share it wherever you need—whether it’s for social media, a website, or printed materials. Choose the format and quality to suit your project.
