Wixel: Exploring the tools and features

Wixel's design environment puts everything you need right at your fingertips, from project management to fine-tuning the details in your work. Let's explore the main elements and tools you can use while working on your project.

Click the project drop-down at the top left to rename your current project. From this menu, you can also do the following:

Your project frame serves as the "outer container" where you build your creative designs. The size and layout of the frame can easily be customized to suit the specific needs of your project. Inside the frame, you can add creative elements like text, images, and stickers. 

To adjust the frame size, you can choose from a variety of preset dimensions (such as those tailored for social media posts, invitations, or greeting cards) by clicking Choose Preset Size above the frame. If you need more flexibility, you can manually resize the frame by clicking and dragging its handles.

You can add multiple frames to a design, which is useful for creating multi-page layouts like brochures. To add a blank frame, click New Design on the left-hand side and choose Add Blank Frame. Once your frame is set to the desired size, you're ready to start designing.

The core creative tools in Wixel are located on the left-hand side, making it easy to start building and refining your projects. With these tools, you can generate images, avatars, and portraits using AI technology, add decorative elements to enhance your design, and upload or organize files in My Media.

Once you’ve added multiple elements to your design, the Layers panel, located on the right-hand side, allows you to efficiently organize your project. This feature lets you reorder layers, lock or hide specific elements, and adjust the stacking order of elements within the frame. 

When you've completed your design, Wixel makes it easy to download your project in various formats such as JPG, PNG, PDF, WEBP, or SVG. Simply click Download in the top-right corner, where you can tailor the download options. You can choose to download specific frames or the entire project, adjust the image size and quality, and even convert file formats, such as turning a JPG into an SVG.
