You can connect a domain to your Wix Vibe site, either by purchasing, connecting an external domain, transferring a domain in, or re-assigning it from another site. You can also transfer a domain to another Wix account after unassigning it, or transfer your domain away from Wix.
You can connect a domain to your Wix Vibe site, either by purchasing one, connecting an external domain, transferring a domain in, or re-assigning it from another site. Wix Vibe sites created on or after February 16, 2026 use Wix's updated architecture, which supports additional domain options — see the sections below for what applies to your site.
Important info about domains and Wix Vibe
The domain options available depend on when your Wix Vibe site was created. Wix updated its architecture for new Wix Vibe sites on February 16, 2026.
For Wix Vibe sites created on or after February 16, 2026
- You can connect a domain by pointing as well as by name servers. See Connecting a Domain to Wix Using the Pointing Method for the pointing flow.
- You can assign or reassign subdomains to your Wix Vibe site. See Connecting a Subdomain to Your Wix Site.
- The CNAME record for connecting an external domain is cdn1.wixdns.net.
- The free-site URL uses the .wix-vibe-site.com domain.
For Wix Vibe sites created before February 16, 2026
- Domains can only be connected by name servers, not by pointing.
- Subdomains cannot be assigned or reassigned to the site.
- The CNAME record for connecting an external domain is cname.wix-vibe.com.
- The free-site URL uses the .wix-vibe.com domain.
Rules that apply to all Wix Vibe sites
- Each Wix Vibe site can have only one primary domain. Connecting secondary domains to a single Wix Vibe site is not supported.
- Domain changes typically take about 30 minutes to propagate, but can take up to 48 hours in some cases.
- If you transfer your Wix Vibe site to another Wix account, the transfer flow lets you include any connected domain (and Premium plan) with the site. See Wix Vibe: Managing Your Sites for the site-transfer procedure.
