Assigning a Domain to a Site in Your Wix Account

Assign any domain in your Wix account to your site. You can reassign a domain from one site to another, or connect an unassigned domain to your site. 
Important:
To connect your domain, you must upgrade your site. If your site doesn't already have a Premium or Studio site plan, you can choose to either upgrade your site, or reassign an existing plan.

Assigning a domain to your site

Connect an unassigned domain to your site, or reassign an already connected domain to a different site. 

To assign a domain to a site in your account:

  1. Go to Domains in your Wix account.
  2. Click the Domain Actions icon  next to the relevant domain.
  3. Choose Assign to a site or Assign to a different site.
    Note:
    This option will depend on whether the domain is currently connected to a site, or is unassigned.
  4. Select a site and click Next.
    Note
    : If the site is already connected to a primary domain, choose an option:
    • Redirect it to the primary domain: Your new domain will redirect to the existing primary domain which is already connect.  
    • Replace the current primary domain: Your new domain will be the primary domain, and the site's current domain will be disconnected.  
  5. Click Assign.
