Wix Studio: Inviting a Client to Join a Site

When you've finished a site and it's ready for your client, you can invite them to be a collaborator. You can choose what access they have, and decide if they can make changes to the site itself and the site's dashboard.

Inviting a client to join your site
Invite a client to join your site by sending them an invitation from your workspace. You can choose which role you want them to have or create a custom role.
You can change a client's role or remove their access at any time.
Note:
Your clients cannot duplicate a site built with the Studio Editor unless they also use Wix Studio.
To send an invitation to a client:
- Go to Sites in your Wix Studio workspace.
- Hover over the Collaborators icon on the relevant site.
- Click Invite People.
- Enter your client’s email address.
- Select the checkbox next to the relevant role/s.
- Click Send Invite.
- In the pop-up that appears, select Client and click Done. This collaborator will be marked as "CLIENT" in your Roles & Permissions table. The invitation email they receive and landing page they reach will be tailored to the client experience.

Checking the status of an invitation
To find out if a client has accepted their invitation, go to Roles & Permissions in the site's dashboard. If there is a "PENDING" label next to their name, they have not yet accepted your invite.
In the "Joined on" column, you can find out when you sent the invite, and how many days are left until their invite expires. Invitation emails are valid for 30 days.
Resending an invitation
You can resend a client invitation at any time. You can choose to resend the invitation via email through Wix or to copy a link to the invitation and send it directly to your client.
To resend an invitation:
- Go to Sites in your Wix Studio workspace.
- Hover over the Collaborators icon on the relevant site.
- Click Manage Collaborators.
- Hover over the relevant person and click the More Actions
icon. - Choose how you want to resend the invitation:
- Send it through Wix: Click Resend Invite. Wix will resend the invitation to the email address that you entered.
Tip: Ask your client to check their spam folder if they don't see it. - Send it yourself: Click Get Invite Link. The link is automatically copied to your clipboard. Paste it in an email or chat message to your client.
Note: This feature is currently not available in Safari.
- Send it through Wix: Click Resend Invite. Wix will resend the invitation to the email address that you entered.
Allowing clients to use the Editor
Once a client accepts your invite, they can access their site in the Studio Editor. They see a specific mode that lets them change content, but not the design that you created. If their role only includes the Edit Content permission, this is the only mode they can access.
If your client has a role with more permissions, like Co-Owner, they can also access the Full Mode. This mode lets them open the Studio Editor, the same way you see it. However, the actions they're allowed to perform still depend on the role you assign.
