Connect the CMS (Content Management System) to your table to display items from your CMS collection. You can choose which collection fields connect to each column in your table and link columns to other locations like your collection's dynamic item page.
How do I connect this table to my CMS collection?
- Click the Connect to CMS icon
. - Click the Choose a dataset drop-down and select an existing dataset that connects to your collection. Alternatively, select Add a Dataset, then choose the collection you want to connect, give it a name and click Create.
Note: In the Studio Editor, if the columns do not automatically connect to your collection fields after choosing a dataset, click the Choose a dataset drop-down and select Not connected. Then click the drop-down again and reselect the dataset you want to connect. - Click the relevant drop-downs under Connections to choose which collection fields connect to each column.
- (Optional) Link the column items to their dynamic item pages or to other locations:
- Click the relevant [Field Name] column links to drop-down.
- Select the dynamic item page listed as [Collection Name] (Item) or choose another link option.
- Repeat this step for each column item you want to link.
How can visitors filter the info displayed in a table?
You can add input elements, such as dropdowns or checkboxes, and set them to filter content when you connect them to the same dataset as your table. Learn how to add input elements visitors can use to filter content.
Can I connect a 'Load More' button to a table?
No. Your table automatically loads all the items retrieved by the dataset. You can limit the number of items displayed by clicking the Layout icon 
and setting a custom table height and enabling pagination.

Currently, you cannot connect the following collection field types to tables:
- Address (click here to vote for connecting this field type)
- Array
- Media Gallery
- Multi-Document
- Reference
- Rich Content
- Tags
- Time
What's a collection?
CMS collections are databases where you store content such as text, images, and videos for use on dynamic pages and elements.
To create a collection:
- Click Create Collection.
- Enter a name for your collection.
- Select an option to choose how many items you want in the collection:
- Multiple items (Default): Manage multiple pages or lists of items with the same layout like projects or services. You can add many items and store massive amounts of content in this collection type that is suited for dynamic pages and elements.
- A single item: Manage content for static pages and sections like a homepage or a promotional banner. This type of collection is best suited for static pages because it has just one item you can add fields to. Learn more about creating single item collections.
- Click Create.
- Add your items and fields to the collection manually or import a CSV file.

What's a dataset?
Datasets are the vital link between the elements on your page and the content in your collection. You can use them to create a two-way connection, allowing you to display collection content, capture user inputs, or both.
With dynamic pages, you connect the elements on the page to a dataset that connects to the relevant fields in your collection. You can also add filters to your datasets to exclude certain items, or add sort conditions that determine the order in which the items appear.

What's a dynamic page?
Dynamic pages use a consistent layout and design, while changing their content based on the page's connected collection items.
There are two types of dynamic pages:
- Dynamic list pages: These can showcase several items from a collection in galleries or repeaters. They allow visitors to click an item to go to its dynamic item page where they can view more details about the selected item.
- Dynamic item pages: These are automatically created for every item in your page's connected collection. They display details about individual collection items in various page elements that connect to fields in your collection.
