2 min read
Connect your Upload Button to a dataset to accept file uploads from visitors and store them in a collection.

To access the Connect Upload Button panel, click on the Upload Button then click the Connect to Data icon
Connect a dataset
Select the dataset from the drop-down that you want to connect your Upload button to.

Connection Options

File connects to
Click the dropdown and do one of the following:
  • Connect to an existing collection field: Select the Image, File (Document), Video, or Audio field in your collection where you want to store the URL of the file a visitor uploads using your Upload button.
  • Connect to a new collection field: Select Add a new collection field.

Currently you can upload images, files (documents), video, and audio files. The file types that can be uploaded are listed here.

The actual file will be stored in the Media Manager. You can find the uploaded file by going to the upload button's settings and clicking the Go to File button.
Tips:
  • You can also let your users download uploaded documents.
    • Select an element that you can add a link to (buttons, tables, images, galleries).
    • Go to their Connect to Data panel and under "Link Connects to" set the link to the field in your collection where you stored the document.
    • When a user clicks the linked element, the document downloads automatically.
    • Note that you can only download documents using this method, not images.
  • You need to add a submit button to your page to save user data to your collection.
