Wix Mobile Apps: Submitting Your App Changes to Apple and Google
2 min read
When you make changes to your native app, you may have to resubmit the app for Apple and Google's approval depending on the type of update you made. For example, design changes must be re-approved.
However, when you make changes to your app content using the Wix app, they can be published without Apple or Google's approval.
App changes that must be approved by Apple and Google
Changes to your app's design or store listing descriptions must be re-submitted to Apple and Google for approval. These changes include anything that comes before the member log in or visitor mode in your app.
Changes that must be approved include brand and design, and store listings.
Brand and design
- Name and icon: Changes to your app's name and/or logo.
- Launch screen: Changes to the design of your app's launch screen (what members see when the app loads).
- Login screen: Changes to the login screen.

Store listings
Since your app's store listings appear in both the App Store and Google Play, any content, icon, or category changes must be reviewed and approved by Apple and Google before the updated listings go live.

App changes that go live immediately
When you make app updates to your app's content or theme you can see the changes after publishing without having to resubmit your app. These changes include:
- Updates to the features and content of your app made from the Wix app.
- Updates to your app's branding and theme.
Note:
Part of your Mobile App Premium plan includes automatic app updates. Every 2 weeks, Wix submits an app update to the App Store & Google Play on your behalf. The update includes new features, bug fixes and performance updates. Learn more
