After your app goes live in the App Store and Google Play, people can download it and interact with your business. It's important that your app goes through regular maintenance to make sure its content and user experience stays up to date.
Important:
If your app is rejected by the App Store or Google Play, review their feedback and make the required updates before resubmitting. Keeping your app updated is essential, if you run an outdated version, some new features or Wix apps (such as Wix Stores or Bookings) might not work, and your app users could see error messages.

What do app updates include?

Automatic app updates are included in your Mobile App Premium plan. Regularly, Wix submits an app update to Apple's App Store and Google Play on your behalf. These updates include:
  • New feature updates
  • Bug fixes
  • Performance updates
Each update also goes through a secondary review with Apple and Google. From the Mobile App Overview tab, you can view a list of any necessary fixes made in order to pass their review.
While the new version of your app is being updated or is in review, the current version remains available in the App Store and Google Play. If the new version is rejected by Apple and/or Google and needs to be fixed, the current version is still available for download in the relevant stores and is not affected. However, some new features may not work until your app is updated.
