The Wix POS Go card reader is a versatile device that can be used as a standalone solution for selling with Wix Stores, or together with the Desktop POS or POS Register solutions. With its intuitive touchscreen, the card reader allows you to sell products on the go and accept both card and cash payments.
Using the Wix POS Go on its own
After
setting up your Wix POS Go and connecting it to your site, you can use it completely on its own to collect payments without the need for your phone, or apps. Follow the steps below based on the type of payment you are collecting.
To use the Wix POS Go on its own:
To sell products in your catalog:
- Go to the Checkout tab on the bottom navigation bar of your Wix POS Go.
- Tap Products.
- (Optional) Click All Products to filter your products by category.
- Tap the products you wish to add to the cart.
Note: You can tap on each product multiple times to add the desired number to the cart. - Tap the price total at the bottom of the screen to add them to your cart.
- (Optional) Tap Add Customer to select a customer from your contacts.
- In your cart, tap the price total at the bottom of the screen once again to process the payment.
- Select Cash or Card:
- Cash: Accept the payment in cash.
- Card: Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go device.
- (When the sale is complete) Tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt to complete the transaction.
Note: When choosing to send an email receipt, you can fill out the customer's details, or search your existing contacts for a customer.
To collect a custom charge:
- Go to the Checkout tab on the bottom navigation bar of your Wix POS Go.
- Tap Custom Charge.
- Enter your custom amount on the screen.
Tip: Use the minus and plus buttons to add more than one custom charge. - (Optional) Tap on Description to add a description to your custom charge.
- Enable the Add tax toggle to automatically add tax to your charge, or disable it if you do not want to add tax.
- Tap Add to Cart.
- Tap the price total to go to your cart.
- (Optional) Tap Add Customer to select a customer from your contacts.
- In your cart, tap the price total at the bottom of the screen once again to process the payment.
- Select Cash or Card.
- Cash: Accept the payment in cash.
- Card: Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go device.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt to complete the transaction.

Using the Wix POS Go with Desktop POS
When using the Desktop POS solution, the Wix POS Go card reader allows you to complete card sales initiated in your POS Checkout, or to charge for existing Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, or Wix Restaurants (New) orders on your dashboard.
To collect payment with Wix POS Go for POS Checkout sales:
- Go to POS Checkout on your computer.
- Use the tabs to add items to your cart.
- Click Charge.
- Select Card as the payment method.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
To collect payment with Wix POS Go for existing orders:
Select below which dashboard tab you want to collect card payments from.
- Go to your Orders tab in your site's dashboard.
- Create a new order or select an existing one that is unpaid.
- Click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
From your Booking Calendar tab
- Go to your Booking Calendar in your site's dashboard.
- Select the type of booking you want to charge for:
- Appointments:
- Select an appointment and click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Classes and courses:
- Select a class or a course.
- Click Manage to see the participants.
- Click Collect Payment for the participant you want to charge.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
From your Booking List tab
- Go to your Booking List in your site's dashboard.
- Hover over any unpaid booking and click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
- Go to your Contacts in your site's dashboard.
- Hover over the relevant contact on your contacts list and click View.
- Select a tab to collect payment from:
- Bookings tab:
- Select the Upcoming or Past booking tab.
- Hover over any unpaid booking and click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Orders tab:
- Hover over your chosen order and click View.
- Click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
From your Restaurant Orders (New) tab
- Go to Restaurant Orders (New) in your site's dashboard.
- (If necessary) Create a new order.
- Click the three dots to go to your order details.
- Click Collect Payment.
- Choose the option Charge with card reader.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
Using the Wix POS Go with POS Register
When used with the POS Register, the Wix POS Go card reader performs the same as other card readers that are compatible with the system, allowing seamless processing of payments.
To finalize POS Register sales with the Wix POS Go:
- Start your transaction in the POS Register tablet.
- Add items to the cart.
- Select Card as the payment method.
- Prompt the customer to tap or insert their card on the Wix POS Go card reader.
- When the sale is complete, tap Send Email Receipt, or No Receipt in your card reader to complete the transaction.
Troubleshooting your Wix POS Go
Please follow the steps below if you need to troubleshoot your Wix POS Go card reader.
I cannot pair my Wix POS Go with my computer or POS tablet
I am unable to complete a sale
- Go to the More tab on the bottom navigation bar of your device and click Reload Catalog.

- If you still cannot complete your sale, restart your device by pressing and holding the button on the side.
My computer crashed in the middle of a sale and I can't reconnect my card reader
- Go to Point of Sale Settings in your site's dashboard.
- Scroll down to Dashboard POS readers and click the More Actions icon
next to the relevant reader. - Click Force reconnect reader.
- Click Force reconnect to confirm.
My device is stuck, or unresponsive
Restart your device by pressing and holding the button on the side.

FAQs
Which Wix Apps can I use with the Wix POS Go?
You can currently use your Wix POS Go on its own only with Wix Stores, but you can use your device to collect custom charges if what you intend to sell is not part of your Wix Stores product catalog.
When using your Wix POS Go with Desktop POS, or POS Register, you can collect payments with Wix Stores, Wix Bookings and Wix Restaurants (New).
Can I issue refunds with the Wix POS Go?
No, this is currently not supported.
What types of cards does the Wix POS Go card reader accept?
The Wix POS Go card reader accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover & Diners Club, China UnionPay, Japan Credit Bureau, Cartes Bancaires and Interac cards.
How do I switch the Wix POS Go between different sites?
To switch between sites, tap the More tab in the bottom navigation bar of your card reader and then tap Switch sites to select the desired site. This flexibility allows you to use the same card reader for multiple businesses.
Note: You can only switch between sites in the same Wix account. To access sites in other Wix accounts you have to log out from your current account in your Wix POS Go and then pair your device with the new account.
Can I change the currency on my device?
No. If you want to change the currency of your site,
go to Language & Region in your site's settings. This change will automatically be reflected in your device.
Can I see my previous sales?
To access your previous sales list, click Sales History in the bottom navigation bar of your device. You can click on each sale to see more details such as date, status, seller, customer info, tip info and more.
How do I know if a card payment was not successful?
If payment was not successful, a notification will be shown on your Wix POS Go screen to let you know. This will also be reflected on your Sales History tab, where the order status will display as Unpaid.
Can I collect payment for previously unpaid orders from my Sales History?
No, this not supported. To use the Wix POS Go to collect payment for previously unpaid orders, you must initiate payment from your site's dashboard, or from your POS Register tablet.
