Wix helps you deliver a seamless experience to anyone visiting or editing a site—whether they’re on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. To make sure your site looks and works its best everywhere, Wix supports the most widely used browsers and operating systems for both website visitors and site builders.

The information below is accurate as of August 2025. Supported devices and browsers are periodically reviewed based on industry standards and user needs.
Supported browsers
Wix sites are built on the latest web standards. Wix selects which browsers to support based on the W3C’s Baseline (widely available) criteria. To ensure optimal security and performance, we recommend using the latest version of a supported browser.
Wix supports these desktop and mobile browsers:
- Chrome for desktop and Android
- Edge for desktop
- Firefox for desktop and Android
- Safari for macOS and iOS
Notes:
- Browsers or apps not listed above may work with some features, but Wix cannot guarantee full functionality or provide support for issues on those platforms.
- A feature is considered “widely available” in Wix tools if it’s supported in all core browsers for at least 30 months.

Tips:

- For best functionality, set your browser zoom to 100%. High zoom or device accessibility settings may impact the editor interface.
Supported devices and operating systems
Wix sites are designed to work on a range of devices, for both editing and live site viewing.
Desktop and laptop
Wix supports most devices running the latest version of a supported browser and operating system:
- Windows: Windows 10 and above
- macOS: macOS 12 (Monterey) and above
- ChromeOS: Latest stable version
Mobile devices
Wix supports the following mobile devices:
- iPhone: iOS 16 and above
- Android phones: Android 10 and above
Notes:
- Smartphones display your site’s mobile version if enabled.
- Some features or advanced editing may only be available from a desktop browser.
Tablets
Wix supports the following tablet devices:
- iPad: iOS/iPadOS 16 and above
- Android tablets: Android 10 and above
Keep in mind:
Tablets (including iPad and Android tablets) display the desktop version of your site. If something isn’t working, check out our troubleshooting article.
Unsupported or limited browsers and devices
Some browsers and devices are not officially supported by Wix, meaning certain features may not work as expected, and Customer Care is unable to assist with issues specific to these platforms:
- Internet Explorer/IE11: Editing and site viewing is not supported. Microsoft has discontinued all support for IE; use Edge or another supported browser.
- Opera: Opera is not supported for editing or managing Wix sites. While it may load live sites, Wix cannot guarantee full compatibility or provide support for any issues.
- Linux: You can view Wix sites in a supported browser on Linux, but site editing is not supported on Linux devices.
- Windows phones: Wix sites may load, but we do not test or support Windows Phone functionality due to extremely low usage.
- Flash: Wix does not support Flash content on mobile or desktop. Modern browsers have removed Flash support.
- Other browsers: If you use a browser not listed in the supported browsers section, Wix cannot guarantee a consistent experience.
