Wix Editor: About the Mobile Version of Your Site

3 min read
When you build a site with the Wix Editor, a mobile version (or mobile friendly view) is automatically created. We recommend keeping this enabled, as it can improve your site's SEO and ensure the best browsing experience for visitors.
In this article, learn more about:

Enabling and disabling the mobile version of your site

Keeping your site mobile friendly optimizes its performance on mobile devices and provides visitors with the opportunity to browse your site on the go. If you disable the mobile friendly view of your site, the desktop view is displayed on mobile devices.
Important:
Wix does not provide support for technical difficulties experienced when showing the desktop view on mobile.

To enable or disable the mobile friendly view:

  1. Click Settings in the top bar of the editor.
  2. Click Mobile Friendly
  3. Click the toggle in the pop-up to enable or disable it.
  4. Click Close.
The pop-up in the desktop Editor. The cursor has clicked the toggle to enable the mobile friendly view.

Your mobile site and SEO

As the mobile version of your site is optimized for mobile devices, disabling it can impact your site's performance and SEO.
This is because the desktop version of your site is displayed on mobile devices when the mobile-friendly view is disabled. Desktop sites on mobile devices can take a longer time to load, and visitors may not be able to see all of your site's content.
Your mobile site's performance can also be impacted by the amount of content on its pages. We recommend using the mobile editor to organize your mobile site and enhance its performance.
