Wix Restaurants: Managing Your Restaurant Menus

Edit a menu item to modify its details.

1. Hover over the relevant item and click Edit.

2. Update the details of your item.

3. When ready, click Save.
   

Make changes to a specific item.

1. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant item.

2. Choose what to do next:

   • Assign to menu: Add the item to a specific menu.

   • Duplicate: Create an exact copy of your item.

   • Hide from menu: Remove the item from being displayed on the menu.

   • Delete item: Permanently remove the item and all its information from your menu.
     
     

Manage several items simultaneously with bulk actions.

1. Select the checkbox next to the relevant items.

2. Choose the relevant option at the top:

   • Assign to Menu: Add the items to a specific menu and section.

   • Update Stock: Mark the items as available / unavailable for purchase.

   • Delete: Permanently remove the items and all of their information from your menu.
     
     

Change the menu's name and description, and mark it as draft. Menus marked as drafts can be edited and saved but won't show in your editor or on your site.

1. Click Edit Menu Details next to the relevant menu.

2. Enter the new menu name and description in the relevant fields.

3. (Optional) Select the Mark as a draft checkbox if you want to hide this menu from your site.
   Tip: If you're using the Wix Restaurants Orders app, you can also limit your menu availability for online ordering from the Ordering tab.

4. Click Save.
   
   

Duplicate your menu to create another draft of it. All menu sections and items are duplicated. If you're using the Wix Restaurant Orders app, the modifiers, variants, tax, stock and settings are also duplicated and added to your items.

1. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant menu.

2. Select Duplicate menu.

3. Create a copy of the menu:

   • Enter a name for the duplicated menu.

   • Choose how to copy the menu items:

     • As new items: Creates separate copies of all items. Changes made to the duplicated items won’t affect the original menu.

     • As shared items: Keeps the same items across menus. Updates to shared items will appear in all menus using them.

4. (Multiple locations) Click the dropdown to choose the relevant location.

5. Click Duplicate.
   
   

You can rearrange sections and items within your menu. You can also move an item to a different section in the same menu.

1. Click Manage next to the relevant menu.

2. Choose what you want to reorder:

   • Sections: Hold and drag the Reorder icon next to the relevant section to its new position. For an easier view of all of your sections, click the More Actions icon at the top and select Reorder sections.

   • Items: Hold and drag the Reorder icon next to the relevant item to its new position, including into a different section.
     
     

Note:

To move an item to a different menu, click the More Actions icon next to the item and select Move. Dragging works only within the same menu.

Design a menu to print and display at your restaurant.

1. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant menu.

2. Select Design print menu.

3. Start designing a print menu for your restaurant based on your online showcase menu. 
   

Deleting a menu removes the menu and sections permanently, but the items remain in your Items page, so shared items will still appear in other menus where they are used. For example, if you delete your "Brunch Menu", all its sections will be removed but items like "Pancakes" or "Avocado Toast" will still be available.

1. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant menu.

2. Click Delete menu.

3. (Optional) Select the Also delete items from this menu checkbox to delete the menu items that don't appear in other menus.

4. Click Delete Menu to confirm.
   
   

Copy a direct link to your menu so customers can go straight to the relevant part of your live site.

1. Click the More Actions icon   at the top right.

2. Select Copy link to menu.

3. Paste the link wherever you want to share it.
   
   

Copy a direct link to a specific menu section, such as Starters or Desserts. The copied link redirects customers to that section on your live site.

1. Click the More Actions icon   next to the relevant section.

2. Select Copy link to section.

3. Paste the link wherever you want to share it.
   
   

Note: This option is not available if the section is hidden, or if your site isn't published yet.
