Wix Editor: The Previous Builder vs Your New Editor

In your new Editor, you can add elements to your pages as needed. There are hundreds of types and styles available to fit your needs, and you can customize them each individually. 

To get started, click Add Elements  on the left side of your Editor.

With your new Editor, you can position elements (such as buttons or text) anywhere you like on the page. 

Simply click and drag the element to its chosen location.

Group multiple elements together to manage them all as one. To group elements together, click and drag your cursor over the elements, then click Group Elements.

Once your elements are grouped, you can move them around your page, add animation effects, or delete them all at once. 

The Wix Editor gives you full control over your elements' look and behavior by clicking the element, then clicking on the available icons. Depending on the element you select, there are a range of options to customize them to your liking. Some of these include:

The Site Design panel has all you need to adjust your site's look in one convenient place. Change your page backgrounds, apply effects, and apply text and color themes to use across your site.

There's a much wider range of apps available to add to your Editor site from the App Market. You can add apps such as Social Stream to keep visitors updated on your social media accounts, or expand your brand with business solutions like Wix Stores or Bookings.

With the Wix Editor and the Wix Content Manager, you can connect elements on your page to datasets. 

This means that you can use elements to display collection content, or to collect information from your users. Learn more about connecting elements to data

In your new Editor, there's a range of ways to build and manage your business. You can add business apps from the App Market, such as Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, and Members Area. 

Once you install these apps on your site, you can access and manage them from the left menu in your Editor. You may also be able to add elements related to the app in the relevant tab in the Add Elements panel.

Tip: You can still access and manage your business from your dashboard.

When you build a site with Wix, you should keep web accessibility in mind. This ensures that anyone, regardless of disability, can access and enjoy your site.

You can improve your Editor site's accessibility by using the Accessibility Wizard. The Wizard is a tool that scans your site, locates potential accessibility issues, and provides actionable solutions to rectify them.
