Wix Bookings: Managing Bookings in the Wix Owner App as a Staff Member

Help your staff members manage their bookings and clients more efficiently by inviting them to download the Wix Owner app. This way they can make updates on the go, directly from their mobile device.
Before staff can start managing bookings:

Adding appointments

Staff members can book a session on behalf of a client for a service they provide. This is helpful when the client makes a booking with the staff member over the phone or at the end of a session. Share the instructions below with your staff so they can manage their own time. 

To add an appointment:

  1. Open your Wix Owner app.
  2. Select a site from the drop-down at the top (if you have more than one).
  3. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  4. Tap Booking Calendar.
  5. Tap the Add icon
  6. Tap Appointment.
  7. Tap to select the relevant existing contact or tap Add new contact.
  8. Add the booking details and save your changes. 

Blocking off time

Allow staff members to block off time for themselves in the calendar so that time is unavailable for booking. 

To block off time:

  1. Open your Wix Owner app.
  2. Select a site from the drop-down at the top (if you have more than one).
  3. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  4. Tap Booking Calendar.
  5. Tap the Add icon
  6. Select Blocked time.
  7. Select a start date and time.
  8. Select an end date and time.
  9. (Optional) Add a note (not visible to clients).
  10. Tap Block to save your changes.

Managing class participants

Enable your staff members to manage the participant list for their class. They can add new participants if someone who wasn't on the list shows up, view more info about a participant, or check people in so you can keep track of attendance.

To manage class participants:

  1. Open your Wix Owner app.
  2. Select a site from the drop-down at the top (if you have more than one).
  3. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  4. Tap Booking Calendar.
  5. Select an option:
    • Add a participant to a class session:
      1. Select the relevant Class.
      2. Tap Manage Participants.
      3. Tap Add Participant.
      4. Select a client from your contact list.
      5. Tap Add to Session.
    • Mark attendance:
      1. Select the relevant Class.
      2. Tap Check-In.
      3. Select an option:
        • Check-In All: Tap Check-In All to change the status of all participants to "Checked-In". Note that you can still change the status of selected participants to "No-Show".
        • Check In: Tap Check In next to each class participant you want to check in. 
        • Mark as no-show: Tap a client's name in the list and then tap Mark as no-show
