Wix Bookings: Managing Bookings Clients in the Wix App as a Staff Member

Help your staff members manage their bookings and clients more efficiently by inviting them to download the Wix app. This way they can make updates on the go, directly from their mobile device.
Before staff can start managing bookings:
- Assign staff members the role of Bookings Staff Member. Adding staff members to your business doesn't automatically make them Bookings Staff Members.
- Once that is done, send the Bookings Staff Member an invite, so they can join your site on the app.

Adding appointments
Staff members can book a session on behalf of a client for a service they provide. This is helpful when the client makes a booking with the staff member over the phone or at the end of a session. Share the instructions below with your staff so they can manage their own time.
To add an appointment:
- Go to your site in the Wix app.
- Tap Manage at the bottom.
- Tap Booking Calendar.
- Tap the Add icon
- Tap Appointment.
- Select the relevant existing contact or tap Add new contact.
- Select the relevant service from the list.
- Add the booking details.
- Tap Book.
Marking attendance for appointments
Allow staff members to manage attendance for their appointments. Your staff members can view the list of booked clients and mark them as 'checked-in' or 'no-show'.
To mark attendance for appointments:
- Go to your site in the Wix app.
- Tap Manage at the bottom.
- Tap Booking Calendar.
- Tap the relevant appointment.
- Tap the Booked drop-down.
- Select an option:
- Checked-In: Your client attended the appointment.
- No-Show: The client booked the appointment but didn't show up. If you want to charge a no-show fee, tap Apply Fee.
Note: Staff members can apply a no-show fee but do not have permission to edit no-show and cancellation fees.
Blocking off time
Allow staff members to block off time for themselves in the calendar so that time is unavailable for booking.
To block off time:
- Go to your site in the Wix app.
- Tap Manage at the bottom.
- Tap Booking Calendar.
- Tap the Add icon .
- Select Blocked time.
- (Optional) Add a title to your blocked time.
- Select a start date and time.
- Select an end date and time.
- (Optional) Add a note.
- Tap Save.
Managing class participants
Enable your staff members to manage the participant list for their class. They can add new participants if someone who wasn't on the list shows up, view more info about a participant, or check people in so you can keep track of attendance.
To manage class participants:
- Go to your site in the Wix app.
- Tap Manage at the bottom.
- Tap Booking Calendar.
- Choose what you want to do:
