Switching Your Domain Connection Method from Name Servers to Pointing

You can switch your domain connection method from name servers to pointing to have your domain's DNS hosted outside of Wix. To change your connection method to pointing, you have to do it in your domain's host account.
Important:
If you change your connection method to pointing, Wix is unable to help you manage your DNS records as they are hosted elsewhere. You'll need to contact your DNS host if you need assistance with your records. Learn more about the difference between connecting via pointing vs. name servers.
To change your connection method from nameservers to pointing:
- Log in to your domain host account.
- Find the section where the DNS records are located.
- Replace the fields below with the following records:
- A Record:
- Host: @ or [blank]
- Points to: 185.230.63.107
- CNAME:
- Host: www
- Points to: pointing.wixdns.net
- Nameservers: Reset to the domain host's default
- A Record:
- Save the changes.
Note:
It can take up to 48 hours for the records to propagate and for the change to be reflected in your Wix account.
