Wix Video: Selling and Renting Options

2 min read
There are several options when it comes to selling and renting with Wix Video. For example, you can choose to let your viewers access your video content for free, or choose to add some sort of subscription or Pricing Plan that enables you to generate revenue from your video content.
Important:
  • You can only sell or rent videos that you have uploaded (not videos from YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook).
  • Your site visitors need to sign up/become a site member in order to purchase videos, subscriptions, and also rent videos.

Allow your viewers to stream your videos for free

You can let your viewers stream your videos for free. This means that your viewers do not need to pay to view any of the videos on your site.

Allow your viewers to rent or purchase a video

You can allow your viewers to purchase your videos for a set price. This means that they can pay to have unlimited streaming of the video and they can view the video as much as they want.

Allow your viewers to buy a monthly channel subscription

You can allow your viewers to purchase a subscription to your video channel. This means that they pay monthly to view all the videos in your channel. They can also view any new videos you add to your channel.

Important:
This is an older option and is no longer available to all users. If this is an option that you are interested in but do not have, we suggest setting up a Pricing Plan.

Allow your viewers to buy a weekly, monthly, or yearly Pricing Plan

You can allow your viewers to purchase a weekly, monthly, or yearly plan to view your video channel content. This means they can choose the duration of the plan according to their needs.

Important:
Switching over to Pricing Plans cancels all the existing subscriptions you had in place with the monthly subscription option above.
