It is not possible to close your Wix account if it contains a registered domain. To proceed with closing your account, ensure that there are no registered domains within it.
You can keep your domain by transferring it to another Wix account or away from Wix entirely. Alternatively, you can turn off auto-renewal and wait for the domain to expire.
Important:
If you choose to cancel your Wix domain subscription (turn off auto-renewal), you must wait until the domain expires and is out of the redemption period before closing your account. This process can take up to 80 days. Learn more about

Removing a domain purchased from Wix
You can remove a Wix domain from your account in two ways:
- Transfer your domain: You can keep your domain by either transferring it to another Wix account, or transferring it away from Wix to another domain host. Once the domain is transferred, you can close your account.
- Cancel your domain: If you no longer need your domain, turn off auto-renewal and wait for the domain to expire. Once the domain is released from the registry, you can close your account. Learn more about canceling your Wix domain.
