With Google Business Profile, you can attract local traffic, gain insights into how your customers find you on the web, and manage customer reviews. You can create a free Google Business Profile in your Wix account, or link your existing profile.

Adding or creating your Business Profile

You can add your Google Business Profile in the Marketing Home section of your site's dashboard. Link an existing profile to your Wix account, or create a new profile if you don't have one.
Important:
To add or create a profile, you need to have a connected domain.

To add or set up your profile:

  1. Go to Google Business Profile in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Start Now.
  3. Select Create New Profile.
  4. Enter the name of your business in the search bar.
  5. Select the relevant option for you:

Managing your Google Business Profile

After you've added your business location, you can manage it in the Google Business Profile dashboard. Edit your location info, mark your business as permanently closed, or delete your business.

To manage your profile:

  1. Go to Google Business Profile in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the More Actions icon  next to the business location that you want to manage.
  3. Select the relevant option:
    • Edit info: Update the information that you previously added to the business location. Click Save when you're finished.
    • Mark as permanently closed: Your business location will appear as permanently closed in Google search results and on Google Maps. You can reopen it at any time.
    • Delete business location: This permanently deletes that business location from your Google Business Profile. After you delete it, you won't be able to recover it.

Verifying your business

Verifying your Google Business Profile lets you manage the information about your business that displays in Google search results and on Google Maps. It also makes sure that your information is up to date and can only be edited by you.
Google provides a number of different verification methods that you can use. For example, you can choose to verify your business location by a phone call, an email, or by sending a postcard to your business address. You can also instantly verify your business in your Wix account using your Business Registration Number.
Important:
  • Currently, instant verification is only available for businesses based in the United Kingdom. Don't worry - it will be available to more countries in the future.
  • Postcards sent from Google to verify your business can take up to 20 days to arrive.

Importing a Business Profile that you already manage

If you've already added your business information in Google Business Profile, you can import your Business Profile to save time, and avoid having to re-verify ownership. Any businesses that are linked to your Google account will be automatically imported.
Important:
To add or create a profile, you need to have a connected domain.

To import a Business Profile:

  1. Go to Google Business Profile in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Start Now.
  3. Click Import Existing Profile
  4. (If necessary) Sign in to your Google account.
  5. Click Allow.
  6. Select the location, then click Add.

Adding owners and managers to your profile

You can invite colleagues or collaborators to help manage your Google Business Profile reviews through your Google account. You can assign roles to people that you invite and choose the level of access that they have.

Switching Google accounts

If you have multiple Google accounts that have linked Business Profiles, you can switch accounts in the Google Business Profile Manager to import the profiles.

To switch Google accounts:

  1. Go to Google Business Profile in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the More Actions icon next to Google Business Profile Manager.
  3. Select Disconnect Google Account.
  4. Click Disconnect Account to confirm.
  5. Click Sign in to Google and sign into the relevant Google account.
