Chargebacks in Your Wix Account

A chargeback is a debit or credit card transaction that's reversed by the customer's bank after they dispute a charge on their payment card. This article relates to chargebacks between Wix and its customers. 
If you issue a chargeback for a Wix service:
  • Your service is canceled immediately.
  • You may be liable for fees incurred as a result of the chargeback. Learn more in our Terms of Use.
  • Any data that relies on purchased features could be lost.
Important:
Before filing a dispute with your bank or credit card company, always contact Wix Customer Care with any questions concerning a charge from Wix.

Chargebacks for Premium plan payments

If you perform a chargeback for a payment made for your Premium plan, your plan is canceled.  
When a Premium plan is canceled: 
  • Your domain is disconnected from your site
  • Your site displays Wix ads
  • Your site's storage and bandwidth is limited
  • Any other Premium features that come with your plan (e.g. Wix Stores) are removed

You must purchase a new Premium plan with a different payment card.

Chargebacks for Wix domain payments

Upon receiving a chargeback for a Wix domain payment:
  • The domain is suspended or removed from Wix for the remainder of its registration period
  • You will no longer be able to connect the domain to any website
  • You receive an email notification from Wix to inform you of the cancelation of your subscription

Chargebacks for business email subscriptions

If you issue a chargeback for a Google Workspace business email:
  • Your business email is canceled immediately
  • You are no longer be able to send or receive emails from your business email
  • Wix sends a cancelation notification to the email address of your Wix account
  • Your Wix account may become blocked from further use

Chargebacks for apps from the Wix App Market

If you issue a chargeback for an app from the Wix App Market:
  • Your service is canceled immediately.
  • Any Premium app features are removed from your site.
  • Any data that relies on these Premium features could be lost.
