Creating a Percentage Discount Coupon

Make sure you aren't giving away items for free. Apply the price discount coupon only to items that cost more than the discount value.

For example, if you create a $10 price discount coupon and a customer applies it to an $8 store product, that item will be free. Shipping charges, however, do still apply. 

You may want to temporarily deactivate a coupon, for example, when you have another sale taking place. 

To deactivate or activate a coupon, click the More Actions icon  next to the coupon and select the relevant option.  

No, coupon codes are not case sensitive. Customers can enter your codes without using the same case.

The promo code may not be visible because you hid it or because the text color blends in with the background color.

Yes, you can also offer price reductions using automatic discounts. 

If you limit coupon use to a set number (e.g. available for the first 100 shoppers), every time a coupon is used, it's counted. 

When a customer pays you offline, the coupon count updates when you mark the order as paid.

To apply a coupon to a group of products, create a new category and add all the relevant products. No need to display this category on your site - it can be used only for the sale. 

Customers can't use coupons for programs set up to be paid with pricing plans only.
