In the United States, all payment card and third-party payment networks - including Wix Payments - are required to report merchant sales activity for goods and services to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as well as the relevant state authorities. This is done using a 1099-K form.

Requirements to qualify for a 1099-K
Wix Payments will provide you with a 1099-K form if you fulfill the following federal requirements:
- You are, or are presumed to be, a U.S. person

- Your account has processed over 200 transactions that exceed $20,000 USD in total gross payments within a single calendar year
Note: The IRS assesses your online gross payments based on your Tax ID. As such, Wix Payments accounts sharing a single Tax ID are assessed all together.
We will make sure your 1099-K form is filed with the IRS and the relevant state authorities. A copy of the form will be available in your Wix Payments account.
If your gross payments meets the relevant state requirements, we will make sure a copy of your 1099-K is also filed with the state tax authority.
