Customizing the Mini Cart

The Mini Cart is a preview of the Cart Page, which opens on the side of your page. Depending on your setup, customers get to the Mini Cart in 2 ways.
First, when the Cart Icon is clicked, it can direct to the Mini Cart. From there, customers can view items and then either keep browsing or click View Cart to go to the full Cart Page.
Another way customers can get to the Mini Cart is from the Wix Stores Product Page. The "Add to Cart" can be set to direct to the Mini Cart.

The Mini Cart does not appear in the mobile view.

Setting the Cart Icon to open the Mini Cart
You can choose what happens when a customer clicks the Cart Icon. It can direct customers to the Mini Cart or send them straight to the Cart Page.
To set what happens when the Cart Icon is clicked:
- Click the Cart Icon in your editor.
- Click Settings.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select an option:
- Show Mini Cart: When customers click the cart icon, the Mini Cart opens on the right. From there, they can click to go to the Cart Page.
- Open full Cart page: When customers click the cart icon, they're directed to the Cart Page.
Setting the Product Page's "Add to Cart" button to open the Mini Cart
You can set what happens when a customer clicks the "Add to Cart" button on the Product Page.
The option is only for Wix Stores.
To set what happens when the "Add to Cart" is clicked:
- Click the Product Page in your editor.
- Click Settings.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Under Add to Cart Button, make sure the Show Button toggle is enabled.
- Under When button is clicked, select an option:
- Show a success pop-up: A smaller pop-up opens, displaying only the item that was just added.
- Open Mini Cart: The Mini Cart opens on the right. From there, they can click to go to the Cart Page.
- Go to Cart Page: Customers are directed to the Cart Page.
- Stay in Product Page: The "Add to Cart" button text briefly changes to a checkmark.
Customizing the Mini Cart
Make changes to the text and design of the Mini Cart so that it matches the look and feel of your business.
To customize the Mini Cart:
- Click the Cart Icon in your editor.
- Click Settings.
- Click the Mini Cart tab.
- Click Text to customize the Mini Cart text.
- Click Design to customize the fonts, colors, and styles.
Tip:
To view the Mini Cart while customizing it, click Preview, add an item, then click the Cart Icon to open the Mini Cart. While the Mini Cart is open, click Back to Editor and follow the steps below.
