The Wix Table Reservations app lets guests book a table online - taking into account your restaurant's availability. To keep your availability up-to-date, you can manually add reservations when guests arrive at your restaurant without a reservation or phone in a reservation request.

Manually adding a table reservation

You can manually add a new table reservation for guests who don't book online. For example, when guests phone your restaurant to book a table, you can enter their reservation details yourself.

To add a new reservation:

  1. Go to Table Reservations in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Add New at the top right and select Reservation.
  3. Enter the reservation details, assign a table, enter the guest's details or add a guest from your contacts, and add notes for your team about this reservation.
  4. Click Create Reservation.

Adding a walk-in reservation

You can quickly allocate tables for spontaneous guests who arrive at your restaurant without a prior reservation. 

Since your guest is already there, there's no need to enter the date and time. You can choose whether you want to enter or add the guest's details or skip that part of the form.

To add a walk-in reservation:

  1. Go to Table Reservations in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Add New at the top right and select Walk-in.
  3. Enter the reservation details and assign a table.
  4. (Optional) Enter the guest's details.
    Note: You can save them as contacts, add existing contacts, and add notes for your team about this reservation.
  5. Click Seat Walk-in.
