Wix Member Apps: Customizing Your Site on the Member Apps

Customize the way your site looks on the Wix Member Apps from the mobile web editor in your dashboard, or on-the-go from the Wix Owner App.

Your Wix Member Apps are made up of different of screens, resembling site pages. Use these screens to display what your members see on each one.

Design your screens with elements that represent your business, such as online programs, booking services, or product pages. Then, enhance the look with buttons and images to make your content stand out.

Customizing the header

Your header is the first thing members see when they visit your site on the member apps. Style it for your business by adding a unique logo and cover photo. You can choose what information to showcase and turn site visitors into members.

Some of the steps vary when you customize your site's header from desktop and the Wix Owner app.

Dashboard

The member count in your site's dashboard displays all app members. This includes members with both public and private profiles, as well as blocked members.

Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.
Click Edit Mobile App.
Click your app's header in the web editor to open the Edit Header preview panel.

Click the Icons drop-down to add quick actions to your header and all screens. The icons displayed in the panel depend on the Wix apps you added to your site (e.g. Wix Stores):
- Show shopping cart icon: Click the toggle to add a shopping cart icon to the header so members can easily navigate to their cart.
Click the App Info drop-down and choose what you want to customize:
- Name: Enter the name of your site.
- Subtitle: Enter a slogan or a short announcement.
- Show logo: Enable the toggle to display your logo in the header.
  Tip: Create your own unique logo with the Wix Logo maker.
- Show general info: Enable the toggle to show a link to a screen with basic information about your business. Learn how to customize the General info screen from the Wix Owner app.
Click the Cover photo drop-down to upload a cover photo for your site.
Click the Members info drop-down to choose what member information you want to show in the header:
- Show member count: Click the toggle to Show or hide the number of members in your app's header.
- Show member profiles: Click the toggle to show or hide member profile avatars in your app's header.
Click the Action buttons drop-down to add buttons your header.
- Show Invite Button: Click the toggle to show or hide a button that allows members to invite more people to your app.
- Show Custom Button: Click the toggle to add a custom button to your header. For example, a 'Send Us a Message" button can send members to chat with you in real-time.
Click Save & Publish.

Adding and managing elements to your screens

Add elements to your app to display your content and what you offer. For example, add Online Programs and turn members into active participants. Place these elements where members can easily see and interact with them.

Once you've added elements, choose where to display them, and easily manage, edit, or remove them for a personalized experience.

Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.
Click Edit Mobile App.
Click Elements on the left.
Scroll through the catalog and click an element to add to your app.
Note: Not all elements can be customized from the web editor. You can update those elements from the Wix Owner app.

Adding and managing your screens

Your site is made up of screens that you display in the navigation menu to help your members easily find what they are looking for. You can also hide screens from your app's main menu and choose who can access each screen.

Manage the screens from the web editor in your site's dashboard or on-the-go from the Wix Owner app.

Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.
Click Edit Mobile App.
Click Screens on the left.

Choose what you want to do:

Add a new screen

Add a screen not in navigation

Set screen permissions

Remove a screen from navigation

Reorder a screen

Rename a screen

Delete screen

Changing the theme color of your members app

Personalize your members' app experience by choosing a custom color theme that matches your brand. The color you select integrates across the app, from the header to other key elements.

Dashboard

Owner app

Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.
Click Edit Mobile App.
Click Design on the left.

Click the Edit icon next to Colors.
Set the Primary color under Customize theme.
Click Save & Publish.

Customizing your General Info screen

The General Info screen lets you make changes to your site information that members see in their members apps. Edit your contact info, logo settings, tagline, list of members, and various social links.

Note:

Currently, this feature is only available from Wix Owner App.

To customize your general info:

Go to your site in the Wix Owner App.
Tap Manage at the bottom.
Tap Site & App.
Tap Customize under Mobile Apps.
Note: If you haven't set up the mobile app your members will use, tap the drop-down under Mobile Apps then choose your preferred members app.
Tap the Screen drop-down at the top, then tap General Info.
