Wix Mobile Apps: Getting Started with Building Your Own App

Design and manage your own native mobile app directly through your Wix account. Start by building your app by adding a few basics, then use the QR code to preview your app in action. After you start building your app, you can edit and change your design from the desktop or your Wix app at any time. Once you’ve finished building your app, you can publish it in the App Store and Google Play.
Having your own app keeps you connected with your customers and offers them a smooth, convenient experience. For example, if you run a fitness studio, clients can easily book classes and receive updates straight from your app.
Mobile App Premium plan:
Building and customizing your app is free. However, to publish it and make it live in the App Store and Google Play, you need to upgrade to a Mobile App Premium plan.
Setting up your app for the first time
Get started by personalizing your app with basic details and visual elements, such as naming your app, uploading an icon, choosing a theme, and selecting a navigation layout. You can update these elements anytime to keep your app aligned with your brand. Once users download your app, the app name will appear beneath its icon on their home screen.
Note:
Design your app's theme and logo from the Mobile App dashboard using a desktop. You can customize your app's layout and content from a desktop or using the Wix app.
To design your app's theme and logo:
- Go to Mobile App in your dashboard.
- Click the Your own mobile app tab.
- Click Get Started.
- Enter your app's name and upload an image as your app icon, then click Next.
Note: Make sure your app name complies with Apple and Google's guidelines to avoid your app from being rejected. Read more about the guidelines for naming your app. - Choose a theme by selecting a preset combination of colors and fonts, then click Next.
- Choose a navigation layout for your app: Bottom tab bar or Top tab bar. Then click Next.
- Scan the QR code to preview your site with the Wix app, then click Continue Setup.
Tip:
