Creating a test contact in Wix allows you to simulate interactions on your site without affecting real users. This helps you ensure that your site flows, such as sending invoices or email marketing campaigns, work smoothly. For instance, you might want to see how an invoice appears in an inbox before sending it to someone in your contact list.
Creating a test contact
Create a new test contact from your Contacts dashboard.
To create a test contact:
- Go to Contacts in your site's dashboard.
- Click the More actions icon
at the top of the page and select Test site flows. - Click Generate Test Contact.
- (Optional) Click to choose what you want to do:
- Copy Email: Copy the test email address so you can paste it wherever you need.
- Generate Test Contact: Create another test contact.
- Click Close.
Tip:
You can
edit your test contact's details at any time in your contacts list.
