Wix Bookings: Setting Up and Using Tap to Pay on the Wix Owner App

Allow your clients to pay in person quickly, safely and easily using tap-to-pay on your iPhone. All payments are automatically saved in your Orders tab. You can also view payment statuses using the managing participants tab in the Booking Calendar.

Important:
  • Tap to Pay is currently available only in the US.
  • Tap to Pay on iPhone is compatible with:
    • The 15.5 operating system or higher.
    • The iPhone XR model or later.

Step 1 | Create a Wix Payments account

If you don't already have one, start by creating and verifying a Wix Payments account.

Step 2 | Set up Tap to Pay

After your Wix Payments account is verified, you can set up Tap to Pay in the dashboard on desktop and on your phone. 

To set up Tap to Pay:

  1. Enable Tap to Pay in the dashboard on desktop:
    1. Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
    2. Click the Tap to Pay on iPhone toggle to enable it.
  2. Go to your site in the Wix Owner app.
  3. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  4. Tap Point of Sale under Get Paid.
  5. Tap the Connect iconat the top right.

  1. Tap Tap to Pay on iPhone.
  2. Tap Activate

Step 3 | Charging clients using Tap to Pay

With tap to pay set up on your iPhone, you can now charge clients in person by tapping "Charge with point of sale" in the "Manage Participants" section of the relevant session. 

To charge clients using Tap to Pay:

  1. Go to your site in the Wix Owner app.
  2. Tap Manage  at the bottom.
  3. Tap Booking Calendar.
  4. Tap the relevant session.
  5. Tap Manage Participants
  6. Tap the client you want to charge. 
  7. Tap Charge with point of sale
  8. Ask your client to tap their card or their phone to complete the payment.
