Wix Blog: Hiding the View Counter on Your Posts

The Wix Blog has a view counter that you can add to your posts to show how many people have read them. The counter appears on each post in your blog feed and on individual posts. If you don't want the counter to appear on your posts, you can hide it in your site's Editor.

Hiding the view counter on your blog feed

Your blog feed displays a list of your posts that your readers can see on your main blog page or when viewing a category. You can hide the view counter from the blog feed in the Settings panel of the Blog page in your Editor. 

To hide the view counter:

  1. Go to the Blog page in your Editor. 
2.  Click the Blog Feed element in your Editor.
3.  Click Settings.
4.  Click the Display tab.
5.  Deselect the Views Counter checkbox under What shows on your feed?.

6.  Publish your site.

Hiding the view counter on your post page

The Post Page is the view readers see when they click to read a single post. 

To hide the view counter on the post page:

  1. Go to your Blog Post page.
2.  Click the Post Page in your Editor.
3.  Click Settings
4.  Click the Display tab.
5.  Deselect the View Counter checkbox to hide the view counter.

6.  Publish your site.
