If you've lost access to your Wix account, you can easily recover it. This ensures you can quickly regain control of your website and keep it running smoothly.
Follow the steps below if you can't access the email address that you use to sign in to your Wix account, or you can't sign in for some other reason.
Recovering your account using your recovery phone number
If you've previously added a recovery phone number to your Wix account, you can get a one-time SMS code sent to your mobile phone to recover your Wix account.
To recover your account:
- Go to the Wix Log In page.
- Click Forgot Email?

- Select the relevant option on screen (e.g. whether you forgot your login email or can't access it).
- Answer the on-screen questions and provide as much information as you can where relevant.
What's next?
Depending on the options you choose, you'll receive either an SMS code to help you reset your password, or we'll send your login email so you can sign in to your Wix account. After you recover your account, you should change the email address of your account to one that you are able to access.
Recovering your account without a recovery phone number
If you can’t access the email associated with your Wix account and you don’t have a recovery phone number enabled, follow our account recovery process. Wix can then verify that you're the owner of the account and help you recover access.
If someone else manages the Wix account, contact them directly to request access. Wix is unable to help you access someone else’s account.
However, if you need help verifying ownership of a domain or payment method connected to a Wix account you don’t own, you should also follow the Account Recovery process. Our team will review your request and get back to you, so make sure to provide a valid contact email
Important:
- The privacy of our users is one of our top priorities. Wix may use a third-party verification partner to verify your identity.
- If you submit a request with an inactive or invalid email address, it won't be delivered to our Customer Care team. Make sure that you enter a valid email address that you have access to.
- We reserve the right to determine and/or grant ownership to an account or site based on our reasonable judgment. We also reserve the right to deny granting access to a user who lost the account credentials, in our sole discretion, without liability to any party.
To recover your account:
- Start the Wix Account Recovery process.
- Answer the on-screen questions and provide as much information as you can where relevant.
What's next?
After you successfully verify your identity, you can create a new password and access your account right away. In some cases, where more information is required, you can submit a Customer Care ticket. Our team will review your request and get back to you via email.
