Online Programs: Accepting Manual (Offline) Payments for Your Program

Give site visitors the option of paying for your program using a method other than a credit or debit card on your site. For example, you can ask visitors to pay you in person or via bank transaction. If someone selects offline payment when purchasing your program, they can't officially join until you confirm the payment from your dashboard.
Before you begin:
- You need a Business Premium plan to sell online programs.
- Make sure you have connected offline payments from the Accept Payments tab of your dashboard. Learn how to set up offline payments.

How visitors choose the offline payment option
When site visitors click the call-to-action to join your paid program, the next step is the checkout process. During checkout they have the option of selecting 'Credit/Debit Cards' to pay for the program or 'Offline Payment.'
If the offline payment option isn't visible, make sure you've set up offline payments for your site from the Accept Payments tab. You can also customize the instructions beneath the offline payments option to let people know how you prefer to be paid, e.g. "Once you confirm, I'll send you my bank details for an easy bank transfer."
Once they've submitted their purchase, visitors must wait to receive a confirmation email that they've been accepted into the program before they can view any content.
Accepting or declining pending offline payments
Once visitors complete the offline payment process, you receive a pending notification in both your site's dashboard and the Wix Owner app. You must approve the payment before the participant gets access to your program.
To accept or decline pending offline payments:
- Go to Online Programs in your site's dashboard.
- A Pending Payments label appears next to the relevant program. Click the program to view the payments.
- Click View Requests in the Participants section.
- Under the Pending Payment tab is a list of people who have paid but are not yet participants in your program. If they've paid using your preferred offline method, click Confirm to give them access to the program. Click Decline if you don't want to give them access.
Once you have confirmed the offline payment, the participant gets an email notification that they are now a participant of the program.
Tip:
You can also view pending payments from the Wix Owner app. A notification appears in your mobile dashboard for you to confirm or decline the offline payment.
