Connect Vector Art

Linking your vector art to a collection using a dataset allows your element to behave like a button. You can then control the result of the click action.
For each of the connection options, you can connect to an existing collection field as described below, or you can add a new field to your collection. Select Add new field from the drop-down and then define the Field Name and Field Type. This adds a new field to your collection and automatically connects it.
Option | Explanation |
---|---|
Create Dataset (Appears if no dataset has been added) | Click Create Dataset to add a dataset. This allows you to connect your vector art to a collection. Learn more about adding and setting up a dataset. |
Connect a dataset | Select the dataset of the collection you want your vector art to connect to. |
Link connects to | Select what happens when the vector art is clicked. |
Dataset Actions | Dataset action options are useful when you have elements on your page that are set up to either display collection content or capture user input. |
Dynamic Pages | Link to a dynamic item page or dynamic list page that includes the current dataset item. |
Fields | Link to a URL, document, image, or video field in your collection. If you link to a URL field, that page is opened in a new tab when the vector art element is clicked. If you link to a document, image, or video field, the media stored in the field is downloaded to your visitor's device when the vector art element is clicked. |
When successful, navigate to | If you set up your vector art to submit*, you can define what happens after the submit action is completed.
*To set up your vector art to Submit, the dataset mode must be set to Write-only or Read & Write. |
Choose a link (Appears when you select A link... from the When successful, navigate to drop-down.) | Click Choose to open the What do you want to link to? panel. |
