Business Phone Number: Sending a Broadcast SMS

A broadcast SMS is a way for you to send a notification or announcement as an SMS message to bookings clients. For example, if you're running an online fitness class, you can send the broadcast SMS "class starts in 1 hour!" to remind people to get ready.
When you send a broadcast message to multiple contacts, it appears on their mobile devices as an individual message directly from you.
Important:
Broadcasting via SMS is currently only available for sites with Wix Bookings. Learn more about sending a broadcast for a booking through the Wix Owner app.
Note:
Make sure you have purchased a Business Phone Number before sending a broadcast SMS.
To send a broadcast SMS message:
- Go to your site in the Wix Owner app.
- Tap Manage
at the bottom. - Tap Bookings.
- Tap the relevant booking.
- Tap Broadcast.
- Select the checkboxes next to the contacts you want to send a broadcast SMS to.
- Tap Next.
- Tap the drop-down at the bottom left and select SMS for your broadcast. You can also send a message via chat or email.
- Compose the message that will be sent to your selected contacts via SMS. Tap the Add icon
to add photos, saved replies and more to the broadcast. - Tap Send.
- (Optional) If any of the contacts you selected don't have saved phone numbers in your contact list, choose one of the following options:
- Send email to contacts without numbers: The broadcast message is sent as an email to any contacts without saved phone numbers.
- Send SMS only to contacts with phone numbers: The broadcast SMS is only sent to contacts with saved phone numbers. Those without saved numbers do not receive the broadcast.
- Tap Send Broadcast to send the broadcast SMS.
