About Paid Services and Your Wix Account Closure

While building your Wix site, you may have purchased additional products and services such as a domain, business email, logo, media files or apps. If, after the closure of your Wix account, you wish to continue using these items, it may be possible to do so. Find below a list of paid services available from Wix and learn whether they may be used outside of Wix. 

If you have purchased a domain from Wix, you can later transfer it to another domain host. In accordance with ICANN's rules:

If you purchased private registration along with your domain, please note that this is a non-refundable purchase. Once a domain is transferred from Wix, the private registration for that domain is disabled.

For a domain purchased outside of Wix, you can remove it from your Wix account with just a few clicks.

Wix is a reseller of Google Workspace business emails. If you purchased a yearly business email subscription, the auto renewal of your subscription will be turned off upon the closure of your Wix account. This action does not cancel your subscription immediately but prevents your business email from renewing automatically at the end of the subscription period.

If you wish to transfer your business email away from Wix, you'll need to contact Wix Customer Care. Our experts can migrate your business email and account billing to be managed directly at Google.

The Wix Logo Maker allows you to to download your logo files within a .zip folder for use outside of our platform. Any additional extras such as color code guides, social media files, or resizable files will also be added to the .zip folder. Downloading your logo files may be done using either a desktop or mobile device.  

Wix is a reseller of Shutterstock images and videos. Once you purchase a media file from Shutterstock, it can be used in any site in the same Wix account. However, the file is not sent to you via email and Shutterstock media files are not downloadable. Following the closure of your Wix account, access to Shutterstock files purchased in Wix is no longer possible.

The Wix App Market offers hundreds of apps developed both by Wix and third-party providers. Canceling an app subscription can be done at any time. Note that it will only cancel future payment of the app. Any refund requests should be made directly with the app developer.

Some third-party apps may be used after the closure of your Wix account. To discover if an app may be used outside of Wix, or to retrieve your data from an app, again please contact your app developer.
