Wix Inbox: Managing Your Settings

Configure your Wix Inbox preferences to meet your exact business needs. Go to Inbox Settings to create a custom profile with your name and image, send emails from your own address, and more.

Channels

Wix Inbox streamlines the way you communicate with customers. Integrate Wix Inbox with different platforms to see and reply to all your messages from one place. This includes channels like your Facebook business page and WhatsApp Business account as well as Wix Forms submissions and Wix Chat.

To connect channels to Wix Inbox:

  1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.
  3. Click Channels.
  4. Integrate Wix Inbox with the relevant channels:
    • Wix Chat: Once you add the Wix Chat app to your site, all new chat messages automatically come into your Inbox.
    • Facebook Page: Click Connect Page to view and reply to messages from Wix Inbox.
    • Instagram Business: If you have an Instagram business account, click Connect Account to view and reply to messages from Wix Inbox.
    • WhatsApp Business: Click Connect Account to view and reply to messages from Wix Inbox.
    • Business Phone Number: Click Buy a Number to get a dedicated phone number. You can use it to make calls and send messages to customers.
      Note: Business Phone Number is only available to Wix users in the US, Canada and the UK. 
    • Wix Forms: Once you add the Wix Forms app to your site, all form submissions automatically come into your inbox.

Email

Edit the subject and sender name attached to all emails you send from your Wix Inbox. Connect your Gmail account to Wix Inbox or purchase a business email if you'd like emails you send to come from your own address.

To manage your email settings:

  1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.
  3. Click Email.
  4. In the Outgoing email settings section, choose what you want to customize:
    • Subject line: This will be the subject line of every email you send.
    • Sender identity: Choose what you want to appear as "sender" of every email you send:
      • Profile name: The name of the team member who sent the message will appear (e.g. "Jane").
      • Business or website name: The name of your business/website will appear (e.g. "Ava Homeware").
      • Profile name + business or website name: Both will appear (e.g. "Jane from Ava Homeware").
    • Sender address: Choose to connect your Gmail account to Wix Inbox or purchase a business email to have your emails coming from your own address. If neither is connected, emails will be sent from reply@crm.wix.com.
  5. Click Save Changes at the top right.

Profile & team

Your profile is how you appear to visitors when messaging via chat and email. Have your team members create profiles too, so that all communications have a personal touch and you can share the responsibility of responding to messages.

To set up profiles:

  1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.
  3. Click Profile & team.
  4. Choose what you want to set up:

Automations

Streamline and manage your workflow to save time on manual tasks. You can send automated emails to your visitors, stay in touch with clients, grow your customer relationships, and more.  

To set up Wix Inbox automations:

  1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.
  3. Click Automations.
  4. Set up suggested automations or create your own:
    • Go to Automations: See your active automations, create a new automation, or choose any of the suggested automations to fit your business needs.
    • Create your own: Set your trigger and choose an action for any of the apps you've added to your site.
    • Explore More Automations: Browse more suggested automations.
