This article refers to the new Wixel, released in December 2025. If you're unsure whether you’re using the new or previous Wixel, view more information here.
The Wixel mobile app gives you a focused workspace for designing on the go. You can start new designs in seconds, edit content from your phone, and use AI tools like Aria wherever you are. This article helps you get comfortable with the main areas of the mobile workspace so you can keep creating from your device.

Opening your project workspace

When you open the Wixel app, you land on the Home tab. From here you can browse suggested templates and scroll through trending designs.
To start with a blank frame or a specific format, tap the Create icon  at the bottom and choose the type of design you want to create. To keep working on something you already started, tap Projects at the bottom right to open your projects list and select the project you want to work on.

The top navigation bar

At the top of the workspace, you'll find tools that help you manage your design and keep track of your AI usage. You can check how many AI credits you have left to use in your current cycle, use undo and redo buttons, and download and share your project.
Tap the More Actions icon to access additional options. From this panel, you can add a new design to the current project, and rename, duplicate and delete the design. You can also open the Layers panel from here to get a structured view of the elements in your design, and access the Help Center for extra support.

The action bar

The action bar appears below your design, offering you different settings and editing tools depending on what you're working on. Select any element in your design, and you'll see the options update automatically.
For example, when you select an image the action bar will offer photo editing options. If you're working on an event invitation, you'll get background and layout options. The action bar is also where you'll find the option to add elements to a design.
To open the action bar, tap the Edit icon on the right side of the design. To minimize it, tap the X icon.

The AI tools in your project

Wixel's built-in AI features are always available to help you brainstorm ideas, edit, and reshape your designs.
Note:
Any actions that involve generating and editing designs with AI use AI credits.

Aria, your AI design agent

At the bottom of the workspace, you'll find Aria, your AI design agent. Aria is your creative partner for creating and editing designs. You can brainstorm, create, and make changes to any design in your project - logos, images, videos, documents, PDFs, forms, and more - directly from the chat.
Tap the chat to open the window and interact with Aria. To minimize the chat, tap the Minimize icon. Learn more about working with Aria.

AI breakdown

The AI breakdown panel, found on the right side of your workspace, automatically analyzes a design in real time and displays its main components. This lets you isolate and edit the main elements of your design (e.g. an image, headline, or icon) without working through the layers.
Tap the AI breakdown icon  to open the panel, and select an item to work on it. For example, you can regenerate or remove an object in an image or rewrite text and apply a different text style.

Suggestion bubbles

Suggestions appear over your design to offer ideas for what you could do next. They adapt to the content and context of your design, guiding you toward ways to enhance or experiment with your project.
To see suggestions, tap the AI Suggestions icon on the right side of your workspace. To hide the suggestions, tap the X icon.

Switching between designs and projects

Unlike the desktop browser, in the Wixel app you focus on one design at a time. When you are ready to move to a different design, tap the Back icon at the top left. This takes you to an overview of the project's designs. Each design has an icon at the top right of its thumbnail that shows what type of design it is (e.g. video, form, image).
To switch to a different project, tap the Back icon undefined again. This takes you back to the home page, where you can choose another project or start a new one.
Tip:
You can also open images and PDFs directly from your device to Wixel. This is useful when you want to adjust a photo from your camera roll or update a document while you are away from your computer.
