Requirements and recommendations for applying

To uphold the high standards of the Wix Marketplace, all applicants are pre-screened. Review the requirements and recommendations below before submitting your application.
Important:
Your application may be rejected if you don’t meet the criteria. Make sure to comply with the Wix Marketplace Terms of Use.

Requirements for applying

You must meet the following requirements to join the Wix Marketplace:
  • Partner Program level: Achieve Icon level in the Wix Partner Program and have at least 20 Premium sites published for 30 days or more. 
  • Business website: Submit a dedicated website showcasing your work (not a profile on platforms like Behance, Upwork, or Fiverr).
  • Portfolio projects: Submit at least 5 Premium Wix sites that:
    • Are live and free of errors (e.g. no 404 pages).
    • Were created or collaborated on by you.
    • Do not include any abusive content.
  • Language: Applications are currently accepted only in English, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish and Ukrainian.
  • Location: Your application must reflect your business location. If you're based in or work with clients in the EU, additional details are required to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Note:
Avoid using the Wix brand or logo in your Marketplace profile. Learn more about the Wix Marketplace Lead Matching Guidelines.

Recommendations for submitting portfolio sites

Your portfolio is evaluated based on design quality, user experience, and advanced functionality. Include relevant certifications and examples of documents you've sent to clients, such as project briefs, client testimonials, proposals, and more.
Follow these recommendations to strengthen your application:
  • Have clear content: Ensure concise, well-structured content with primary CTAs (Call to Action links) placed prominently above the fold.
  • Feature appealing visuals: Include high-quality images and graphic elements that align with the site's purpose.
  • Include intuitive navigation: Make sure the menu and site structure are straightforward and user-friendly.
  • Optimized for accessibility: Ensure sites are mobile-friendly, SEO-optimized, and accessible to all users.
  • Maintain design consistency: Use cohesive design elements (e.g., matching colors, fonts, buttons, and icons).
  • Showcase advanced functionality: Highlight custom solutions with advanced tools like Velo by Wix, databases, or apps.

Applying to join the Wix Marketplace

Apply to join the Wix Marketplace. You can save your progress at any time during the application process.

To apply to join the Wix Marketplace:

  1. Go to Marketplace Overview in your Wix Studio workspace.
  2. Click Apply Now.
  3. In the General Info tab, provide your business details, add a brief description to introduce yourself to potential clients, and select the platforms you build on (Wix Studio / Wix). You can also include links to your social media profiles.
  4. In the Portfolio tab, click + Add Project to submit at least 5 Premium Wix sites that showcase your expertise and meet the portfolio requirements.
  5. In the Services & Rates tab, choose the services you offer and set starting rates for each service.
  6. In the Your Experience tab, provide additional details about your professional background, including client references, certifications, and examples of documents you’ve shared with clients. Share how you stay updated with Wix’s latest features and include any additional information you'd like us to know.
  7. In the Language & Location tab, choose the countries you want to work with and the languages you support. If you work with EU clients or are based in the EU, provide additional business details to comply with the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA).
  8. Click Apply.
