Wix Retail POS: Adding New Products to the Catalog

You can add new products to your store's catalog using the Wix POS tablet. Alternatively, you can save time by scanning the products' barcode to upload some of the details. 
Note:
Products that have product options (e.g. color or size) can only be created on desktop. 

To add a product to the catalog:

  1. Open the POS tablet. 
  2. Tap the Menu icon at the bottom left. 
  3. Tap Catalog.
  4. Tap + New Product at the top right. 
  5. Enter your product info:
    1. Enter the product's name.
    2. Enter the product price including cents.
    3. (Optional) Add a sale price: 
      1. Tap the On Sale toggle to enable it.
      2. Select a discount type, percentage or amount.
      3. Enter the discount value (e.g. 20% or $10) 
    4. Upload product images: 
      1. Tap the Add Images icon .
      2. Upload one or more images of your product. 
  6. Set the product's visibility: 
    1. Click the Point of Sale toggle to make the product available for checkout in the POS tablet.
    2. Click the Online Store toggle to display the product in your online store.
  7. (Optional) Enter your product's inventory details:
    1. Enter your product's SKU / UPC code in one of the following ways:
      • Tap the Barcode icon  and scan the product. Learn How
      • Enter the SKU / UPC manually. 
    2. Select an inventory option:
      • Track inventory
        1. Click the Track Inventory toggle  to enable it.
        2. Enter the amount of the product in the Inventory field.
      • Do not track inventory: 
        1. Click the Track Inventory toggle  to disable it.
        2. From the drop-down, select In stock or Out of stock.
  8. Assign a tax group. 
  9. Categories: Add your product to one or more categories.
    Tip: To create a new category, go to the Categories tab. 
    1. Tap the Add icon  
    2. Select the checkboxes next to the relevant category or categories.
    3. Tap Done.
  10. Tap Save at the top right.
