Wix Loyalty Program: Following Social Media Channels to Earn Points

Add your social media profiles as a way to earn loyalty points. Customers who click the 'Follow' button on your loyalty page, leading to your social media account, get the number of points you choose. 
It's a great way to build retention and bring repeat customers. It also helps you grow your social media presence and engage with your customers across different platforms.

Adding your social media profiles

Add your social media profile links as a new way to earn points for your customers. Then, decide how many points customers will get by opening a page. The points are assigned to your customer shortly after they click the 'Follow' button on your loyalty program page.
Notes:
  • This action only applies to site members. If a member is not logged in, they will not see the 'Follow' button on your loyalty program page.
  • As the points are given to customers who open the link, it's not possible to track whether or not they end up following your account. Therefore, we recommend choosing wisely how many points to give for it to be sustainable for your business.

To add your social media profiles:

  1. Go to Loyalty Program in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Manage Program.
  3. Click + Add Way to Earn next to Points.
  4. Select Follow on social media.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Add your social media profiles:
    1. Select the checkboxes next to the relevant social media profiles. 
    2. Enter the link that you want site members to reach.
    3. Click Continue.

  1. Name this way to earn points. This is the text that is shown on your loyalty program page.
  2. Set the number of points you want your customers to earn.
    Note: If you've added tiers, select the checkboxes next to the tiers you want to make this available for and enter the number of points members earn for each.
  3. Click Create.

Customizing this way to earn points on the loyalty program page

After adding social media as a way to earn points, customize the way it looks on your site's dedicated loyalty program page. Change the colors and fonts on the 'Follow' button and social media icons to align with the look and feel of your site design.
  1. Go to your editor.
  2. Click Pages & Menu  on the left side of the editor.
  3. Click the page named after your loyalty program.
  4. Click the Loyalty element on your page and click Settings.
  5. Choose what you want to customize:

Tip:
The title of this way to earn is the same as you configured when setting up the program. You can always edit this in your dashboard.
