Wix Editor: Removing Gaps on Your Mobile Site

The Mobile Editor automatically creates an optimized version of your site for mobile view, however, in many cases, some additional editing is required.
Unwanted gaps may appear on your live mobile site between elements, under elements or between your page and footer.

Removing Gaps between Elements

Gaps between elements may appear on your live site. These can easily be removed from inside the Mobile Editor.

To remove gaps between elements:

  1. Click the Zoom Out & Reorder icon on the top bar of the mobile Editor.
  2. Hover over the blank space and click the Delete Space.

A blank space may appear under your Pro Gallery if you have enabled the info bar setting. You can adjust the size of the info bar to remove any gaps below your gallery.

To remove the gap under the Pro Gallery:

  1. Click the Pro Gallery in the Mobile Editor.
  2. Click the Layout tab.
  3. Click Customize Layout
  4. Set the Info Bar Size to a lower number or to 0 to remove the empty space.
Note:
The Info bar size toggle is only applicable for the Slideshow layout. Learn more about the Info Bar here.

In some cases, a site may display a gap between the end of the page and the top of the footer when viewed on a mobile device. These gaps are not visible in the Editor.

To remove the gap between the page and the footer:

  1. Access your Mobile Editor.
  2. Adjust and remove any spacing you find.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Mobile page.
  4. Click on the Page body.
  5. Double-click on the Page height handle.
  6. Publish your site.

These changes are not reflected in the desktop version of your site.
