Wix Editor: Menu Issues

Your Wix site's menu automatically displays every page added to your site except for pages you've chosen to hide.

Menu missing on live site
If you cannot view your menu on your live site, try the following:
- Make sure you've added a menu to your site. Learn How
- If your menu is attached to the header or footer, or set to "show on all pages," make sure you are not hiding the header and footer:
- Click Menus & Pages
on the left side of the Editor.
- Click the relevant page that isn't displaying your menu.
- Click the Show More icon

- Click Settings
.
- Click Layouts.
- Select Standard.
- Click Menus & Pages
- Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.

Nothing happens when clicking your menu
If nothing happens when you click your menu, something is likely overlapping it. Make sure your menu is on the 'front' layer and that your header and footer are not set to freeze (causing them to be on top of your menu).

- Press Ctrl + 0 (zero) to set your browser's zoom to 100%.
Note: Press Command + 0 (zero) if using a Mac. - Right-click on top of an area on your menu that is not working.
Note: Press Ctrl and click the mouse if using a Mac. - Hover over Overlapping Items and select your menu.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + ↑ on your keyboard to bring the menu to the front.
Note: Press Command + Shift + ↑ if you're using a Mac. - Click Preview at the top right of the Editor and check that your menu works correctly.
- (If your menu works in Preview mode) Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.
To unfreeze your header:
- Click the header.
- Click the Settings icon

- Select Scrolls with site.
- Click Preview at the top right of the Editor and check that your menu works correctly.
- (If your menu works in Preview mode) Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.
To unfreeze your footer:
- Click the footer.
- Click the Settings icon
.
- Click the Freeze Footer toggle to disable the feature.
- Click Preview at the top right of the Editor and check that your menu works correctly.
- (If your menu works in Preview mode) Click Publish at the top right of the Editor, then refresh your live site and check that your menu works as expected.
Menu doesn't work properly on some browsers or devices
If your menu works properly on some browsers and devices but not others, check the following:
- Go to whatismybrowser.com to make sure you are using the latest browser version.
- If your browser's version is out of date, install the latest version. View Wix's supported browser versions.
- If the issue continues, follow the steps on the Wix Technical Assistant to resolve.
Additional troubleshooting tip:
Try deleting your menu then adding a new menu to see if this resolves the issue.
