Using Wix Forms to Receive Explicit Consent

You can add Wix Forms to your site to receive explicit consent from your site visitors before processing their data.

Step 1 | Adding and Setting Up Your Form

Using Wix Forms you can add a form to your site to collect information from your visitors. You can set up and design your form to match your site's style.
  1. Click Add on the left side of the Editor.
  2. Click Contact Forms.
  3. Scroll through the available form templates and drag the one you want onto your site.
  4. Click Form Settings.
  5. Click the Settings tab and set up your form.

Step 2 | Adding the Explicit Consent Checkbox

You can receive explicit consent by adding a "Terms of Use" checkbox to your form. Visitors are required to select the checkbox before they can click Submit. Add a link to your "Terms of Use" page so that visitors can read them.
  1. Click on your form in the Editor.
  2. Click Manage Fields
  3. Click + Add New Field
  4. Click the Selection tab. 
  5. Click Checkbox Field
  6. (Optional) Select the Checkbox field in the editor and click Edit to edit the following:
    • Field Title: This is the text that appears next to the checkbox (e.g., I accept terms & conditions).
    • This field is...: Choose whether this is a required field or not. If you require explicit consent before your visitor clicks submit, leave the field as Required.
    • Add a Link: Click the toggle to add a link to your Terms of Use page. 
      • If added, edit the link text and click the Link icon to choose your Terms of Use link page.
Tip:
Click the Layoutand Designicons to change the way the Checkbox Field looks (size, colors, fonts etc.).
