Wix Studio is rolling out a new Product page designed to help you showcase your products more effectively and unlock future storefront enhancements.
New sites created in Wix Studio now include the new Product page by default. You can switch your existing Product page to the new version to get improved performance and access future updates.
Tip:
In the future, all sites will switch to the new Product page. If you are just starting to design your Product page, we recommend switching now to avoid making adjustments later.
About the new Product page
The new Product page is built on updated infrastructure that helps the Product page load faster in your editor and on your live site. The new page supports upcoming storefront features.
Tip:
New features for the Product page will only be released for the new version.
Before you migrate
Before you decide whether to move to the new Product page, it's important to understand what happens when you switch.
Important:
Once you replace your current Product page with the new version, you cannot undo this action.
- Design options: Individual design editing of some inner elements will no longer be possible. Additionally, in the new Product page, the customizations and design settings you select for desktop are applied to mobile, as well.
- Design reset: Your customizations revert to the default selections. Colors and fonts revert to your site's theme. You'll need to recreate your customizations.
- Multiple Product page variants: If your site has multiple Product page variants, only one Product page remains after migration. You'll be able to recreate and redesign multiple Product page variants after migration.
Test before you migrate:
If you want to see how the new page looks without making changes to your site, we recommend duplicating your site and performing the migration on the copy first.
Switching to the new Product page
Switching to the new Product page replaces your current version. After switching, update the design and customizations to match your site before publishing.
To switch to the new Product page:
- Go back to the Product page:
- Click Pages
on the left side of the editor. - Click the More Actions icon
next to Store Pages.
- Click Pages
- Select Move to new product page.
- Click Replace Product Page.
- Update the new page to recreate your design and customizations.
- Publish your site.
