Languages Available in Wix

3 min read
With Wix, you can create a site from almost anywhere in the world, and in a variety of languages.

You can also change your Wix account and Editor into a different language, and get support from Wix Customer Care in a language that's convenient for you.

Account and editor languages

Currently, you can use Wix and Wix Studio, both your account and editor, in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Chinese, Thai, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch, Danish, Czech, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, and Ukrainian.
The language of your dashboard/workspace and editor is determined by the language of your Wix account. Learn how to change the language of your Wix account.
Note:
From January 2024, Hindi will no longer be supported.

Changing your site's language

Your site's language affects all parts of your site, including the language people see on your site, and the emails and notifications they receive. It also affects the language of the apps on your site (e.g. Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Chat), and your visitors' browser language (i.e. if translation is enabled, your browser detects the language and offers to translate it).
Additionally, your site's language is important for assistive technologies, to help them interpret your site correctly and adjust the accent, pitch and speaking rate to suit the language.
You can change your site's language from Language & Region.

If you want several languages on your site, use Wix Multilingual (see below).

Using special characters on your site

The Wix Editors also support all languages and special characters that are supported by UTF8, which is a dominant character encoding for the Internet. This includes Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Arabic, Korean, Greek, Russian, Portuguese, and Hebrew, as well as several others.
No setup or configuration is required to use these languages, as the Editors support whatever language you have installed on your computer's operating system. Simply ensure that your computer supports the language you want, and type wherever text is editable on your site.
Additionally, you can add language fonts inside your Editor. Learn more about adding language fonts

Creating a multilingual site

If you want to create a site in more than one language, use Wix Multilingual. For example, your business might be located in a popular tourist destination where it will be seen by people from different nationalities. Or, due to the accessibility of the internet, your site may attract an audience that spans far beyond your neighborhood, state, or even country.

Wix Multilingual supports over 180 languages. You have the choice of translating your site manually by entering your own translations, or automatically with the help of our auto-translate option.
