Privacy and Email Marketing

As a site owner, it is your responsibility to ensure that your site visitors are aware that they've given consent to receiving your marketing campaigns. If you're using Wix Email Marketing, or any other email marketing tools, this applies to you.
It's important to note that consent to receiving marketing campaigns can be interpreted and applied in different ways on your site. You must make sure it will meet the standards required by regulations such as the GDPR.
Implied consent
Implied consent allows you to receive consent from your users without them ever explicitly stating 'I consent' or 'I agree'. If you choose to use 'implied consent', for example, you can add a disclaimer next to your 'Subscribe' button informing your site visitors that clicking the button will subscribe them to your marketing campaigns.
Explicit consent
You may choose to request 'explicit consent' from your site visitors, before sending them any marketing materials. In many cases, this can be accomplished by adding a check box next to your 'Subscribe' button, obliging your site visitors to check the box and confirm consent before subscribing.

- Using Wix Forms, you can add an opt-in checkbox to your form.
- You can add a checkbox to have an explicit consent from site visitors. Here, you can also link your privacy policy or your terms and conditions policy.
