  • Understanding the review process
  • Resubmitting a campaign if it's rejected
After you create an ad campaign, the status changes to 'In Review'. Campaigns must be approved by Facebook before they can go live to potential customers. In the review process, Facebook checks the campaign's content and audience, as well as the ad's landing page or any other place it links to in order to ensure it complies with advertising policies

Understanding the review process

After you create an ad campaign, the status label at the top changes to 'In Review'. Campaigns must be approved by Facebook before they can go live. In the review process Facebook checks the campaign's content and audience and makes sure everything complies with their advertising policies
Facebook typically reviews ads within 72 hours, but in some cases it may take longer. When your campaign is approved, the status at the top of your dashboard changes to 'Live'.
Important:
If you decide to edit your campaign at any point after it goes live, it is automatically submitted to Facebook for another review.

Resubmitting a campaign if it's rejected

If your campaign is rejected by Facebook, it is most likely because it didn't comply with their advertising policies. Common reasons campaigns get rejected include:
  • Adult content
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Dating services
  • Election or political content

If your campaign was rejected, an error message in the Facebook Ads dashboard will tell you to check specific issues that may have caused the rejection. Once you've fixed the issue, resubmit your campaign for approval.
